Privacy policy.
Sidewlk Studios Inc. ("Sidewlk", "we", "us") operates sidewlkstudios.com and provides street-interview ad production services to direct-to-consumer brands. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have.
1. Information we collect
We collect three kinds of information:
- Information you give us — when you book an intro call, fill out a form, or email us. This typically includes your name, work email, company, role, and anything you tell us about your brand or project.
- Business contact information from public sources — when we research a brand for outbound outreach, we use commercial data providers and publicly available web pages to identify the appropriate person to contact at a company.
- Usage information — we collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referring URL, pages visited) and aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics about how visitors use the site.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your inquiry or proposal request.
- To deliver and improve our services to clients.
- To send a small number of targeted business emails to brands we believe are a fit. Every outbound email includes a one-click unsubscribe link; we honor opt-outs immediately and permanently.
- To understand how the website is used in aggregate and improve it.
- To comply with law, defend our legal rights, or prevent abuse.
3. How we share it
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with: (a) service providers operating on our behalf (e.g., email infrastructure, calendar booking, hosting, CRM, analytics), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations; (b) clients or partners with your consent; or (c) authorities where required by law.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and measure site usage. You can disable cookies through your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email aaron@sidewlkstudios.com. We respond within 30 days.
6. CAN-SPAM and GDPR
Our outbound business email program complies with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act and, where applicable, the EU and UK GDPR. Every email identifies the sender, includes a physical mailing address, and provides a working unsubscribe link. We maintain a suppression list of recipients who have opted out, and we honor opt-outs across our entire business — not just the campaign you replied to.
7. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you or as required by law. Prospect data is purged on a rolling basis where no business relationship has been established.
8. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever experience a breach affecting your information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.
9. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
